STRAWBERRY

Scientific name: Fragaria vesca

Origin: Huelva, Spain

A fruit with an excellent flavour, very light and low in calories and the ideal complement to complete a good meal. It prevents the onset of cardiovascular diseases and improves antiviral capacity and Alzheimer's disease.

SAUCO

Scientific name: Sambucus nigra.

Origin: Europe and North America.

The elder is very rich in vitamin C and phosphorus. Its composition also includes tannins, flavonoids, carotenes and vitamin B. It is indicated for treating respiratory problems, as it favours the expulsion of mucus, reduces inflammation of the respiratory tract and helps to soothe coughs and fevers.

QUININE

Scientific name: Cinchona Officinalis.

Origin: Peru.

Today it is used as a flavour enhancer in tonic water, giving it its characteristic bitter taste. It was for a long time the main compound for the treatment of malaria. It has antipyretic, antimalarial and analgesic properties.
